Ethics Policy

The rules we hold ourselves to, written down so you can hold us to them too.

01

Independence

The VikingFinBiz takes no payment for coverage. We do not publish sponsored posts, paid placements or advertorials dressed as reporting.

No advertiser, investor or source gets to review a story before publication, and none gets to keep one from running.

02

Sourcing

Reporting is built on primary material wherever it exists: regulatory filings, central bank statements, exchange and index data, company releases and court records.

Where we rely on another outlet’s reporting, we say so and link to it. We do not launder someone else’s scoop into our own.

03

AI Disclosure

Our publishing pipeline uses large language models to draft and summarise stories from vetted sources. This is disclosed rather than hidden.

Models assist with drafting. They do not choose what is true. Claims are constrained to the source material they were drawn from, and anything a source does not support does not run.

We do not generate quotes. A quotation on this site is one a named person actually gave, carried from the record with attribution.

04

Accuracy And Corrections

We will get things wrong. When we do, we fix the article and say what changed rather than editing quietly.

Substantive corrections are noted on the story itself. Typos and formatting are fixed without a note.

If you have spotted an error, tell us and we will look at it — the fastest route is the corrections address on our contact page.

05

Conflicts Of Interest

Anyone writing about a security, issuer or asset discloses a personal position in it, or does not write the story.

We do not trade on unpublished reporting, and we do not accept gifts, travel or hospitality from the companies we cover.

06

Not Investment Advice

Everything here is journalism and general information. It is not investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

Markets carry risk of loss. Decisions about your money are yours, ideally taken with a professional who knows your circumstances.

07

Privacy

We do not require an account to read. We do not sell reader data.

Anything you send us is used to report the story and nothing else. If you need to reach us confidentially, say so in your first message before sending details.

Think we have fallen short of any of this? Say so — thecontact pagereaches the editorial desk directly.
